Hey. Today was AWESOME! When you do all your homework it is SO much easier to fall asleep at night because there is no monkey on your back. It also means that you have less computer time but I will live... :( maybe... JUST KIDDING! I can cope. GOODBYE MY FELLOW AWESOME PEOPLE!

How to Train Your Dragon

This weekend I saw the movie How to Train Your Dragon and let me say that it was a big mistake. This movie was VERY raciest, sexist, and just bad! You may notice that in their perfect world in the end of the movie (for those of you who saw it) there are NO dark skinned people. A lot of people would say that the only reason that there are no dark skinned people is that they are vikings but they didn't have to make them a race full of just white people. It sure wasn't because all the good actors were white because it's a CARTOON!!!!! This movie is sexist because the girl in the beginning it very strong, the best in the village even. Then the main guy looks like he's getting better and starts winning and she gets more girly. In the end battle she rides in the back of the dragon and he basically says "hey you girls calm down and let me tell you what to do or else everything will be bad!" Not to mention when the boy thinks that dragons are really nice the girl is willing to believe it right away. Yes that's right. Us girls have a lot to learn from those nice, smart guys. Even if we are good at something then, of course, those smart guys show us how to do it right and we play along... :( SO NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!

Why?

The lovely bones by alice sebold

Hey peeps! I have been wanting to do something like this for a while so, yup. This is my first book review and if you've read The Lovely Bones before tell me what you think and if you read it after you read this then tell me how it was! Leave comments!! No, this was not found online and I didn't buy this (then again why would I because this isn't homework this is a blog that I am doing voluntarily...) Okay so here you go!

Murder, mystery, pain, love, and heaven are all parts of the exciting book The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. This book gave an interesting twist to life after death. Throughout this exciting and suspenseful novel Susie Salmon watches over her family as her dad grieves over her death, her mom lies, cheats and leaves, and her brother and sister grow up to be older than she can ever be.

The Lovely Bones is a very beautiful book full of emotions such as love, anger, sadness, and confusion. It gives a new meaning to death and makes people appreciate life. It is a truthful book that doesn’t try to make life or death, heaven or earth, seem perfect. Some people write books about people with the perfect life, and then it gets messed up but all is good and well in the end. The truth is that when we read those books we are reading a fantasy, The Lovely Bones shows the truth, how life can be hard.
